What? It’s not raining in Seattle?

Imagine my surprise to wake up to partly cloudy skies this morning! As Muff drove me to her LYS, I saw people driving with their convertible tops down. Ok, people. I know it’s sunny, but it’s also only in the 50’s. Are you nuts?

We visited Village Yarn & Tea in Shoreline. What a great shop! I had to wander through pattern books and grope yarn for at least 90 minutes before I could finally decide what to purchase with some of my pouched yarn cash. Being I do not have many spring projects in my queue, I picked up a cardigan pattern from Dolce Handknits called Fitzroy, and six hanks of Misti Cotton (83% Peruvian Pima Cotton/17% Silk) in a pale pink. Yummy!

I also purchased “No Sheep For You” by Amy R. Singer (of Knitty fame). There are some really great patterns in this book. I highly recommend it!

We’re off to Bainbridge on the ferry tomorrow to visit another yarn store. Hopefully I’ll have more yarn porn in my next post, along with pics of the finished Simple Hat & Scarf (yes, I’m already reducing for the crown tonight).

  1. you don’y miss a shop, do you? i think you may have yarn-dar!
